Since 2010 Peter has been Managing Editor of Spend Matters UK/ Europe, a leading procurement website, read by thousands of procurement professionals every week. He is also leading Public Spend Forum in Europe – an organization whose aim is to improve the performance of public sector procurement.

Peter gained an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University, then joined the Mars Group before becoming Procurement Director for Dun & Bradstreet Europe, the Department of Social Security, and the NatWest Group.

He then worked extensively advising public organizations such as the Office of Government Commerce, the UK National Audit Office, and a range of private sector firms. He is a Fellow and was 2003 President of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, and has served as a non-executive director of two large public sector organizations. He is now a non-exec for a growing private firm and for an organization that works in the international aid area, and also lectures on the University of Birmingham Procurement MBA course. His first co-authored book, “Buying Professional Services”, was published by the Economist Books in June 2010.
